Description

Wheelchair Aussie Rules has been developed to provide all Australian Football enthusiasts with or without a disability with an Aussie Rules experience that has strong parallels with the traditional game. Based on AFL rules and played on a basketball court, it is easy to play, and provides an environment whereby participation, enjoyment and safety are a priority.

RSL Active will have a team particpating in this competition for the second year running. You don't need to have played wheelchair AFL or AFL to be participate in this competition, nor do you need to have experience playing wheelchair sports.

There will be a number of teams from different states competing, including ADF teams. It's a fun couple of days and we don't take ourselves too seriously.

The RSL Active team is open to veterans with our without a disability, and there is no need to be a member of an RSL to participate.

The competition runs from Wednesday 21 - Friday 23 March, with finals and medal presentation on Friday 23 March. You can choose to attend all, or just some of these days.

An optional RSL Active training session will also be scheduled for Tuesday 20 March as an opportunity to have a go in the wheelchairs, and learn how the game is played.

Please complete the registration form and a confirmation pack detailing rules and other information will be forwarded to you closer to the competition and once the competition schedule has been released.
